Happy 4th of July. I hope that all of you are well and that everything is going fine for everyone in your family.
I'm just back from visiting the new
village clinics in Gansu Province. Some are completed and in
operation; a few others had their construction delayed by the Sichuan
Earthquake. They are not that far away; and although all but one
village didn't have much damage, the building supplies suddenly became
in short supply. One village did have its school damaged and we saw the
rebuilding of a new school building going on as well. The government
is paying for the school reconstruction. All of the village clinics
should be completed before the end of the summer.
